About Black River Design Company

Black River Design Company is a full service consultancy providing marketing, community outreach, placemaking, customer relationship management (CRM), operations management, hospitality and retail design, events management, and fundraising solutions to small businesses, nonprofits and municipalities.

The company was founded in 2021 when founder Amanda Dean relocated from Philadelphia back to Morris County, NJ where she is originally from.

 

“I am fortunate to have roots in this area. My mother’s side of my family has been in Mendham and the surroundings towns for over 5 generations. My father’s side of the family has been in Chester since 1939.

Needless to say I have a deep respect for family and community history. When contemplating what to name my company, I brought together my love for wild birds (total bird nerd) and love for the Black River, which runs through Chester, NJ.”

Amanda J. Dean is an entrepreneurial leader with over 20 years of experience spanning nonprofit management, municipal partnerships, event production, and small business consulting.

Amanda has a proven track record of building programs from scratch, growing revenue and delivering high-visibility community and marketing initiatives. She is equally skilled at strategic planning and hands-on implementation. Amanda brings integrity, creativity, and a client-first approach to every engagement.
